FAQ

HOW DO i SCHEDULE A SESSION?

You can email, text or call. There is a $50 fee to reserve your time. This fee is applied to your total session fee which is due at the time ofyour photo shoot. It is transferable as well as refundable with one week notice.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Solid colors or small prints usually photograph the best. Bright colors, large stripes, big logos, etc. tend to dominate the image and drawattention away from the person. Your eye color is always a great color to wear. Most any color is good but it is always best to bring a goodvariety. If in doubt, bring it...it’s better to have a good selection than to wish you had brought more.

DO I NEED PROFESSIONALLY DONE HAIR OR MAKEUP?

Those services are not included in your session, nor are they necessary, but you are certainly welcome to arrange for them to be done onyour own right before your session. It is best to go to your regular stylist and/or artist so you can be confident in and comfortable with the results. You want to look like you in your photos to best remember this time in your life, so avoid new hairstyles or heavy makeup. Just look your very best and you can’t go wrong. Your images will be expertly retouched so you will look perfect, yet still very natural.

CAN WE GO ON LOCATION?

Many of the sets and scenic areas at Oliver Photography Studio are ideal for lighting most any time of day. The lighting and availablity of public locations are most often unknown and therefore not as conducive to a relaxed, fun, private session, so location work is available on private property and includes a separate fee.

WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS BAD?

Unless it is very obvious bad weather, it is perfectly fine to wait until a couple of hours before your session time to see if the weather will change. It’s Kansas! Cloudy weather is only bad if it is very dark out. Light overcast is actually very nice lighting and allows the use of some areas that might otherwise be too bright.

CAN I ADD A PERSON OR PET?

Yes! There is an extra charge and arrangements must be made in advance to allow for extra time.
